In 1995, a handful of dancers and parents began to organize a small group to teach and promote traditional Mexican dance. It was the enthusiasm of creating, not just a dance group, but an organization open to any dancer with a desire to learn that members continued their endeavor. After receiving nonprofit status, and now several years later, Nube de Oro is a dance group of 50 dancers. Our Purpose - teach traditional Mexican folkloric dance to preserve and promote the beauty of the Mexican culture; work toward the development of our dancers' folkloric education; educate our community and our youth through dance; invite youth in search of positive influence and help strengthen self-esteem and pride based on their accomplishments. Members work together to achieve our goals, one of which is to expand Nube de Oro to help create a school of cultural education along with others interested in teaching cultural arts.
